Congratulations Region AA Champions!

Macon, GA -On October 29, Northeast hosted the region meet for 6 teams. The Northeast girls' team finished with 1st place & a trophy, scoring a total of 35 points to win the Region AA championship for the 2nd consecutive year. Teneshia West led the girls placing 5th with a time of 25.01, followed by Jerryshia Williams-6th, Albertina Dean-7th, Marquita Williams-8th, Courtney Dixon-9th, ReNya Curtis 11th, & Maria Bond-16th. The Raiderettes will compete in the State Meet in Carrollton, GA on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.

The Northeast boys team finished in 3rd place scoring a total of 85pts. Denzel Council led the boys placing 6th, with a time of 19.47, followed by Jerell Holland -8th, Jerry Butler-17th, Deion Jolley-25th and Brian Wilder- 29th, Dontrevion Ross-32nd and Demarcus Willis-34th. The boys will also be running in the state meet.
