Coach Jerry Jackson Varsity Head Coach
Coach Jerry Jackson begins his first season at Redan High School as the Girls Varsity Head Coach. He has been Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Assistant Coach for the past two years. While under the leadership of Coach Jackson, the girls JV team accumulated a record of 27-2 and had an undefeated season in 2007-2008 leading them to win the DeKalb County JV championship. The Varsity team accumulated a record of 52-8 while winning one region championship and advancing to the 5A State Championship game two years in a row. The won the title in 2008-2009 with a 27-0 record. Prior to coaching at Redan, Coach Jackson directed Freedom Middle to a record of 50-10 in 4 years.
Coach Jackson is a native of Green County, Alabama where he attended Paramount High School. Afterwards he attended Alabama State University. During his tenure there he played football from 1997-2000. Coach Jackson graduated from Alabama State University in 2000, where he received a degree in Health and Physical Education. Coach Jackson has an 8 year-old daughter named Kaylah, who is the joy of his life. |
